FLYING to BULGARIA:
We have been working with a wonderful travel agent named Dessey. She has been very helpful in booking flights and accommodating people’s various travel requirements. When you call, make sure you mention you are going to Kyle and Petya’s wedding and she will be especially nice!
You can call her at this number: 805.215.6665
STAYING in BULGARIA:
Here are several hotels we have checked out and liked:
Residence-Oborishte:
63 Oborishte Street
The building was built in the early 1930s and has been recently renovated. It is located on Petya’s favorite Sofia street, in a quiet neighborhood that is still super close to downtown and some major attractions: Sofia University, Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Sofia Opera House, etc. ALSO, it’s a five minute walk down the street from our new apartment!

The hotel is very nice and the service is wonderful. They showed us the rooms and the suites and everything looked perfect. We were also able to negotiate a group discount for our guests: 80 euro for a room and 100 euro for a suite.
Crystal Palace Boutique Hotel
14 Shipka Street
Hotel Niky
16 Neofit Rilski Street
Despite its clean, modern rooms and its central location just off the Vitosha shopping district, this hotel is one of the best values in the city with double rooms around 40 euro a night. Besides, you might as well get used to the name Niky if you’re planning to visit Bulgaria!
This bed and breakfast is located in the Red House Center for Culture and Debate. The center is located in the heart of the city, on a quiet little street right off some of the main shopping and walking areas AND about 10 minutes walk from Sveti Sedmochislenitsi Church, where the wedding ceremony will be. Their garden cafe is extremely popular among Bulgarian artists and intellectuals.
Rooms are between 30 and 50 euro and guests share a large kitchen, a living room and bathrooms. Basically, the place is a VERY nice hostel for grown-ups.
Also, here are some nice and fun hostels:
Please let us know if you would like us to make your reservations for you!

Don’t remember if I told you already, but the Hilton is very centrally located! You will be a short walk away from some of the coolest areas in the city AND the fancy shopping area too. How appropriate! Love, Petya
